Should demons be cast out if it is possible for more to return?
Summary:
After demons are cast out from a person, they may try to come back with more demons to the person so as to try to enter the person again.
If that is the case, should demons be cast out if it is possible for more to return?
There is evidence to suggest that demons may NOT NECESSARILY TRY TO COME BACK TO THE PERSON, and even if they try to come back there may be evidence to suggest that they could NOT BE ABLE TO ENTER SOMEONE AGAIN UNCONDITIONALLY.
One condition for a demon to enter a person can be for that person to have remained EVIL willingly and knowingly.
In order TO DIMINISH THE LIKELYHOOD for the person to be EVIL willingly and knowingly after having a demon cast out of them, it may be wise for the person not only to first repent, but also to BRING FORTH FRUITS WORTHY OF REPENTANCE BEFORE the demon is cast out. Indeed, someone's character who was formed and brought forth fruit from repentance may be more likely to remain that way than someone who just repented and had no time to really be formed by that repentance.
Even if demons were to manage to return inside the person, which would lead the person to become in a worse state than before, there may still be a possibility to manage to cast them out.

Demons may try to come back with more demons:
After demons are cast out from a person, they may try to come back with more demons to the person so as to try to enter the person again.
Jesus said: "When the unclean spirit DEPARTS FROM THE PERSON, it-goes-through waterless places seeking rest. And not finding (it), then it-says, ‘I-WILL-RETURN TO MY HOUSE FROM WHERE I-CAME-OUT’. AND HAVING-COME, IT-FINDS (IT) having-been-swept and put-in-order. Then it-proceeds, and TAKES ALONG SEVEN OTHER SPIRITS more evil (than) itself. AND HAVING-GONE-IN, they-dwell there. And the last (state of) THAT PERSON becomes worse (than) the first”" (Luke 11:24-26).
It is important to know that there is evidence to suggest that demons may NOT NECESSARILY TRY TO COME BACK TO THE PERSON, and even if they try to come back there may be evidence to suggest that they could NOT BE ABLE TO ENTER SOMEONE AGAIN UNCONDITIONALLY.

Indeed, someone's character who was formed and brought forth fruit from repentance may be more likely to remain that way than someone who just repented and had no time to really be formed by that repentance.
This pattern may be illustrated with John the Baptist who came to prepare the way for Jesus, as it is written about "John the Baptist" (Matthew 3:1) that he was proclaiming to "REPENT" (Matthew 3:2), adding that he was here to "Prepare the way (of the) Lord" (Matthew 3:3) adding that people had to "PRODUCE FRUIT WORTHY (OF) REPENTANCE" (Matthew 3:8). In the next chapter, as the Lord Jesus started His ministry and "they-brought to Him all the (ones) being ill, being-gripped (with) various diseases and torments, and BEING-DEMONIZED, and having-seizures, and paralytics. And HE-CURED THEM" (Matthew 4:24).
Before people who were demonized got demons cast out of them by Jesus, John the Baptist prepared the way by telling people to "PRODUCE FRUIT WORTHY (OF) REPENTANCE" (Matthew 3:8). John for example told people: "every TREE not PRODUCING GOOD FRUIT is-cut-down and thrown into (the) fire”. And the crowds were-questioning him, saying, “WHAT THEN SHOULD-WE-DO?” And having-responded, he-was-saying (to) them, “Let the (one) having two tunics give-with (the hands to) the (one) not having, and let the (one) having food be-doing likewise”. And tax-collectors also came to-be-baptized. And they-said to him, “Teacher, what should-we-do?” And the (one) said to them, “Be-collecting nothing more than the (amount) having-been-commanded”. And (ones) (serving-as-soldier-in-a)-host also were-questioning him, saying, “And us, what should we do?” And he-said (to) them, “Do not violently-extort anyone, nor extort-with-false-charges. And be-content (with) your wages”." (Luke 3:9-14).
Because the repentance is linked to the specific evilness that may have made the demon enter, reversing that SPECIFIC evilness is what is needed, by producing fruits worthy of a person not doing that specific evilness anymore. John the Baptist told different people different things to do based on different possible evils.
To bring forth fruits worthy of repentance may not necessarily be a condition to meet before a demon can be cast out (in contrast to merely repenting, which can be a condition to meet before casting out a demon), but it may be a wise thing in many cases to consider doing.
What if more demons manage to return inside?
Even if demons were to manage to return inside the person, which would lead the person to become in a worse state than before, there may still be a possibility to manage to cast them out.
