"Demonized" can mean having a demon (that can later come out)

The word "DEMONIZED" in the Bible can be attached to a person:

  1. HAVING a demon.

  2. That demon can later COME OUT of that person.

HAVING a demon can mean that a demon entered (and that demon can later also come out).

Biblical evidence

For example, there is "(one) HAVING-BEEN-DEMONIZED" (Luke 8:36) who was described as "HAVING demons" (Luke 8:27) and later "the demons, HAVING-COME-OUT from the man, entered into the pigs" (Luke 8:33).

Another example: a "daughter is badly DEMONIZED" (Matthew 15:22). In the parallel account in Mark, this "daughter WAS-HAVING (an) unclean spirit" (Mark 7:25) but later Jesus said: "the demon HAS-GONE-OUT of your daughter" (Mark 7:29).

Overview of all the uses of "DEMONIZED" in the Bible:

You will find below all the times the word "DEMONIZED" appears in the Bible.

You will also find further evidence that "DEMONIZED" can be attached to a person "HAVING" demons, and you will find further evidence that "DEMONIZED" can be attached to a person to whom demons can be described to later "COME OUT" of that person. These will be separated by biblical accounts:

"DEMONIZED" is used in Matthew 4:24.

"DEMONIZED" is used in Matthew 8:16 and in the parallel account in Mark 1:32.
- "CAST OUT" is used in Matthew 8:16 and in the parallel account in Mark 1:34.

"DEMONIZED" is used in Matthew 8:28, Matthew 8:33 and in the parallel accounts in Mark 5:15, Mark 5:16, Mark 5:18, Luke 8:36.
- "HAVING" demons is used in Luke 8:27.
- "CAST OUT" is used in Luke 8:33.

"DEMONIZED" is used in Matthew 9:32.
- "CAST OUT" is used in Matthew 9:33.

"DEMONIZED" is used in Matthew 12:22.
- "CAST OUT" is used in Matthew 12:28 and in the parallel account in Luke 11:14 and Luke 11:20.

"DEMONIZED" is used in Matthew 15:22.
- "HAVING" demons is used in the parallel account in Mark 7:25.
- "CAST OUT" is used in the parallel account in Mark 7:29.

"DEMONIZED" is used in John 10:21.
- "HAVING" demons is used in John 10:20.

All the biblical passages using the word "DEMONIZED" are describing a person either "HAVING" a demon, or a demon later "COMING OUT" of that person, or both expressions at the same time (except Matthew 4:24, which will be addressed below).

What about Matthew 4:24?

The only account in which the word "DEMONIZED" is not attached in some way to "HAVING" a demon or a demon being "CAST OUT" is in Matthew 4:24.

Matthew 4:24: "And the report (of) Him went into all Syria. And they BROUGHT to Him all the (ones) being ill, being-gripped (with) various diseases and torments, and BEING-DEMONIZED, and having-seizures, and paralytics. And He CURED them."

The only indications written about those who are "BEING-DEMONIZED" (Matthew 4:24) is that "they BROUGHT to Him" (Matthew 4:24) these ones and "He CURED them" (Matthew 4:24).

We can interpret this passage in the light of a more detailed passage later from Matthew to let us infer that the expression "CAST OUT" could also be implied to be attached to it.

In Matthew 12, someone "DEMONIZED" (Matthew 12:22, also used in Matthew 4:24) was also "BROUGHT" (Matthew 12:22, also used in Matthew 4:24) to Jesus and then "CURED" (Matthew 12:22, also used in Matthew 4:24): "(a) blind and mute (man) BEING-DEMONIZED was BROUGHT to Him. And He CURED him, so-that the mute (man was) speaking and seeing" (Matthew 12:22).

The expression "CAST OUT" is attached to that passage a few verses later in Matthew 12:28 and in the parallel account in Luke 11:14 and Luke 11:20.

Conclusion

There is biblical evidence that the word "DEMONIZED" in the Bible can be attached to a person "HAVING" a demon and that this demon can later "COME OUT" of that person.

There is also biblical evidence that ALL the biblical passages using the word "DEMONIZED" are describing a person either "HAVING" a demon, or a demon later "COMING OUT" of that person, or both expressions at the same time (except Matthew 4:24).

If the inference can be made that those who were "DEMONIZED" in Matthew 4:24 also had demons "CAST OUT", then we can infer that ALL the biblical passages using the word "DEMONIZED" could also refer to a person either "HAVING" a demon, or a person to which a demon later "COME OUT", or even both.
