Romans 8:9 - The Spirit of God is dwelling in you?
Does Romans 8:9 object to the need for deliverance for those who have been believers in the past?
Romans 8:9: "But you are not in (the) flesh, but in (the) Spirit — since (the) Spirit (of) God is-dwelling IN you. But if anyone does not HAVE (the) Spirit (of) Christ, this (one) is not (of) Him."
Deliverance for believers?
It is written: "you are not in (the) flesh, but in (the) Spirit — since (the) Spirit (of) God is-dwelling IN you. But if anyone does not HAVE (the) Spirit (of) Christ, this (one) is not (of) Him" (Romans 8:9).
The "Spirit (of) God is-dwelling IN you" (Romans 8:9), specifically IN our hearts, as Paul wrote of "the Spirit IN our hearts" (2 Corinthians 1:22).
We "HAVE (the) Spirit (of) Christ" (Romans 8:9) specifically in our hearts, as it is written: "God sent-forth the Spirit (of) His Son into your hearts" (Galatians 4:6).
Having the Spirit of God dwelling IN our hearts could imply that no unclean spirits could dwell IN our hearts, where the Spirit would be.
Now the "heart" (Matthew 22:37) is not all that is linked to a human, as there is for example also the "soul" (Matthew 22:37), the "mind" (Matthew 22:37), the "spirit" (1 Thessalonians 5:23), the "body" (1 Thessalonians 5:23).
